CASTING SHADOWS

Tendering 

In midday sun

Transparent bids

parade around

Only to cast shadows

when bids are done

With Scope of works variations

Bids like blind shots

Hit  bullseye

When procurement officers

Turn two blind eyes

As  bribes are passed

To give contractors bly

But as light of sun

Alters the crude

One day

These riggers we will sue

For casting shadows

At  future dawn’s hue
