Where there are no options

There is no power to choose

Plenty talk, empty promises

But someone must lose

So cleanings  precede plugging

Where there is no production

In this world wide well

Of underground operations

Where there is little common sense

Prevailing  nonsense wear

Ole mas costumes

Power to deal 

Money to spare

And  bad habits, scale

Rigs  and tanks

to cement scepters

of demands

over this nation of

Trickadadian’s

Who trail and troll

From row to  Row-

Jay-walking like pro

when demands fail

Over presumed Powers

For where there are no options

BLOOD MONEY

Whose economy

Are we building

With our blood money

And sweat collateral?

The tainos, the caribs

And the slaves

And some  who lie in

shallow graves

Who lost

their blood religiously

For the sake of

this economy?

Whose economy

Are we building

With our blood money

And sweat collateral?

The labourers who came

cocoa piols,

caribbean forefathers

cane cutters,

railroad builders

rice planters?

Whose economy

Are we building

With our blood money

And sweat collateral?

When with  technology

we drill and  drain

The Earth’s blood

And it’s remains

So that crude wealth

Flow  through

Our veins

To the reservoirs

Of neo-colonist?

Whose economy

Are we building

With our oil money

And earth collateral?

SCARLET WINGS

On scarlet wings
Expenditure clings

And soars the sky

Like Ibis

Rising high, high

Like gases

Over Point Lisas

Until they disappear

Without a trace

On Scarlet I-sis

Budget increases

By the millions

Building pavilions

With vanished

 Justifications

And vaporized

 Questions

In Scarlet flocks

Carnival Fete Tickets

Do million dollar wines

In mid air

Then gives all Clear

 Resignations to probes

And La Can coverage

And created  safety threats

To audit frets
