SCARLET WINGS

On scarlet wings
Expenditure clings

And soars the sky

Like Ibis

Rising high, high

Like gases

Over Point Lisas

Until they disappear

Without a trace

On Scarlet I-sis

Budget increases

By the millions

Building pavilions

With vanished

 Justifications

And vaporized

 Questions

In Scarlet flocks

Carnival Fete Tickets

Do million dollar wines

In mid air

Then gives all Clear

 Resignations to probes

And La Can coverage

And created  safety threats

To audit frets

OIL DOUENS

He who started

the douen movement

Must continue

And accept

That dual motives

Have dual outcomes

One company

Same stakeholders

One payroll yet

opposing agendas,

For oil money

Future legacies

and trust

Visions  forward

Marred by

Footprints backward

Errors made

Selfish motives

And blatant plots

And like douens

Of folklores

They repeat

the same flaws

So forward

yet backward

Too backward

to forward

They part…

CASTING SHADOWS

Tendering 

In midday sun

Transparent bids

parade around

Only to cast shadows

when bids are done

With Scope of works variations

Bids like blind shots

Hit  bullseye

When procurement officers

Turn two blind eyes

As  bribes are passed

To give contractors bly

But as light of sun

Alters the crude

One day

These riggers we will sue

For casting shadows

At  future dawn’s hue
